Am I leaving Facebook?

Dear doll friends. 

Normally I try to post only about dolls, but you all know there is a person behind this page, and today I want to talk to you about something that is personal to me and my family.

You might have heard something about Meta cancelling fact checking and anti-bullying policies. This applies specifically, but not exclusively, to bullying of genderqueer people and women. It is now completely legitimate to insult, threaten, dox and diy-diagnose strangers on Facebook and Instagram.

I am not talking about differences of opinions here. It is okay if you don't agree with me on a topic. However, if we end up in a discussion about something, I would love to do that in a respectful manner. 

The point is, that how much you might disagree with me or someone else, you are not allowed to infringe on someone's human rights. Other people's human rights supersede any personal freedom you think you might have. Other people have the right to feel safe, and not be discriminated against, just like you and I do. 

To take a stand against this change of policy, a lot of queer people (and their friends) are leaving Facebook and Instagram. It's not just about deleting an app, it's also about feeling forced to leave or uproot your community you've spent years building. This is why I have decided to follow that part of my social circle to BlueSky.  

Personally I will not be gone from Facebook, at least not yet. I will first have to rebuild the community I surrounded myself with, as most of the doll collectors I know are either here, on Instagram or YouTube. So the good news is, nothing changes if you are a valued visitor of this page and choose to stay on Facebook. 

However, If I feel my personal safety as a woman, as the family member of a trans child, or the safety of that child is compromised, I will not hesitate to leave and take my content and community with me. I hope you all understand.

Sluban flower capsule review

Now this is a funny - and admittedly long- story.  A long long time ago, when my children were still small and budget was tight, we owned a Sluban princess castle. The legality of these alternatively sourced 'lego' bricks was, at this point, still debatable. Sluban was, along with Ligao and BanBao, one of the first brands that tried their hand at this.  These first bricks were of dubious quality.
